BMS/ANed
De doelstelling van de Biometrische Sectie (BMS) is het bevorderen van de ontwikkeling en toepassing van statistische methoden in wetenschappelijk onderzoek op medisch, biologisch, landbouwkundig en aanverwant terrein. De BMS is een sectie van de Vereniging voor Statistiek en Operationele Research (VVS).
De ANed is de Afdeling Nederland van de International Biometric Society (IBS). De doelstelling van de IBS is ”the advancement of biological science through the development of quantitative theories and the application, development and dissemination of effective mathematical and statistical techniques”.

De BMS en ANed hebben dus ongeveer dezelfde doelstelling. Sinds 1997 zijn alle binnenlandse activiteiten van de BMS en ANed gebundeld.

De PSDM is een werkgroep van BMS/ANed.

EFSPI
EFSPI, the European Federation of Statisticians in the Pharmaceutical Industry, is open to constituted groups of statisticians. Eligibility for membership is open to one national group per country placing a major emphasis on technical and scientific activities directed at statisticians who are working in or for the pharmaceutical industry. Thus, EFSPI is engaged in statistical aspects of research, development, production, and surveillance of drugs and medical devices.

PSI
PSI, Statisticians in the Pharmaceutical Industry, is a non-profit organisation formed in 1977 which provides a forum for regular discussion of statistics and issues relating to the practice of statistics in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as promoting Good Statistical Practice within the industry. Together with other European statistical organisations, PSI is a member of the European Federation of Statisticians in the Pharmaceutical Industry (EFSPI). In this capacity, PSI monitors and responds to appropriate regulatory statistical issues within the pharmaceutical industry.
